So, just out of curiosity...
Oct. 12th, 2001 02:51 pmAm I *allowed* to like slash? Cause apparently I'm not.
I'm getting really tired of people being all like "You're so silly!" and "It's not there!" everytime I mention a couple or pairing I like. Then they promptly run off and coe up with a hetero shipper pairing they looooove and which is so THERE even if there's nothing in the script to indicate it. Do I tell *them* to give it up? No.
I'm getting nothing but grief over it though. It's at the point where I'm just not going to tell anyone about it anymore because I'm tired of them laughing or getting irritated.
Just because it's slash and m/m it's eminently less valid. I know that there's only a .0001% chance of my characters ending up together while a hetero pairing actually may become a canon couple, but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to want to see them get together.
And no, I'm not telling what pairing inspired this rant. I don't want to have to deal with it. Suffice it to say, it's the last in a line.
