Oct. 16th, 2004 12:19 pmWell, it finally stopped being damp and rainy and settled on very, very cold, which isn't a bad thing as far as I'm concerned. Plan on spending the day reading, working on the baby fic and trying to work the last of the kinks out of Turnstone - which needs a better title at some point, too - so I can actually start the writing stage.
Talked Sonnet into going out tonight. Get some coffee or something. Gonna see if Laura wants to come too, but she doesn't seem to be having the best day. Well, coffee is sort of like ambrosia so maybe I'll dangle a raspberry mocha under her nose.
Everyone and their mother is asking me when I'm going to transfer out of Hampton. *rolls eyes* Okay, is it THAT obvious? Or have I just mentioned it to everyone on earth? Probably both, to be honest with myself, but it's still funny in an annoying kind of way. Laura says I should transfer back to Richmond - B would take me, but I'm not sure that's what I want. God knows I never loved Richmond.
Oh! Xana, if you can, check out a manga called Diabolo. It's much of theexcellent-ness.
I'm going to go work on Turnstone for a bit - try to get another title if nothing else. The ending is what's giving me the most trouble right now. The story is so different from when I first outlined it a year or so ago that the ending no longer works. I think I need to tone it down, cut the confrontation somewhat and maybe save the reunion with DT for more of an afterwards instead of making it part of the finale. Hm. We'll see.
PS. The noisy ninja is stalking me today. *eyes warily* I keep turning around and there she is. Spooky.
