Okay, Shen Wei's death wasn't nearly as sad as everyone said it would be, but I blame that on the very bad CGI immediately following it. What WAS heartbreaking was when Zhao Yunlan calls for Shen Wei and Lin Jing can't meet his eyes and Zhao Yunlan realizes he's gone and just and cries and oh MY GOD I lost my shit. Completely lost it. It's gone and it's not coming back and I'm just LIKE THIS now.

I have issues with the ending, but the emotion of it...! So perfectly, devastatingly done. Zhao Yunlan broke my heart over and over again.

I mostly liked it except for the bits I didn't ^_^ But god yeah. ZYL broke my heart and then the two of them together afterwards and DA QING holding ZYL's picture and ugh. I haven't recovered yet.
