sidara left a few hours ago and already it is overcast, chilly and raining. She is obviously some kind of heinous weather-witch.

In related news, I had an awesome weekend. We went horseback riding and spent most of Sunday at Busch Gardens, then went to a cookout at my friend Shawna's house where we played with her kids and went in the pool despite the water being fucking freezing. Kat also monopolized my cat and tolerated my disaster of an apartment (seriously, why is it that no matter how much time you spend cleaning before company arrives, as soon as they leave you realize there's some horrible and/or disgusting mess somewhere they were guarenteed to see it and you managed to miss it entirely?). I had a really good time and I'm glad she came all this way. She talked about coming back next year, but that means I don't have an excuse to go to San Fransisco so we may have to arm wrestle over it.

We also went to The Melting Pot for dinner which was awesome. And we saw Indiana Jones which was pretty damned enjoyable (I'm blaming the parts I didn't like so much on George Lucas). Then we went to a realllllly lousy Irish Tavern down in Newport News. Then Kat broke a Bank of America ATM, proving once again that she has gremlin in her ancestry.

Today we went for brunch and I managed to get lost looking for Buckroe Beach. Which is - I shit you not - like a half mile from my house. How I managed this I do not know.

Also, at some point Kat stole my computer and remaned like a hundred of my iTunes songs.

Now I must do laundry and prepare for work tomorrow. Vacation is over. Blegh.
