Please stop making me like you, with your kickass Adama and your possibly-crazy Gaius and the wacky Cylon hijinks. Please stop making me forgive you for what you did to the female cast of the original series by making your original female characters (including Boomer, because, honestly, she's got jack shit in common with the original) awesome.
Your Baltar is way cooler. Yay for character development! Also, your Cain is way, way more interesting than the original, though I once again wonder why you feel the need to make Cain a woman (yes, yes, strong female characters, but the fact that you totally eliminated the entire female cast of the original series* does make me wonder - hell, it's not like the others bear any resemblance to the originals, after all, so you can't say it's because they weren't cool enough - you made everyone ELSE cooler, why did you have to eliminate all familiar female characters instead of making them cooler as well?).
Cain is so freaking crazy. I love it. Her whole crew is whacked, and the total lack of humanity displayed by the ones we've seen up-close is amazing. Part of me, seeing how completely manipulative the Cylons have been so far, wonders if they didn't arrange all of this, for the sole purpose of dehumanizing the survivors.
This is not helping me resist the SGA/BSG crossover plotbunny. Please be warned that if you do not stop making me like you, I will not be held accountable for any fic which may result.

* If Sheba, Cassie, Serina, Athena, etc. appear at any point in the new series, please let me know. Thus far not a trace of them remains. Although Athena's father (male) and two brothers (both male) survived, as did Serina's husband (male) and son (also, for the record, male). Sheba's dad survived, although you turned him into a woman, which is kind of interesting to contemplate.
Sheba: "Dad? I mean, Mom? I mean-"
Admiral Cain: "You will call me Admiral!"
