Sara Douglass finished the third book in the Troy Game and sent it to the publisher earlier this month! *does happy dance* As I recall, it won't be out till February, but at least I know for sure it's coming now. Now if she'd only start another Tencendor/Sunsoar trilogy.
The Hampton libraries hate Livejournal. I mean, seriously, they try to kill it every time I'm here. The page loads halfway, then the computers all gather around and start shooting firewalls at it and it dies a slow and lingering death. It's kind of sad.
Well, not really.
I got a raise! I already did the happy dance to some of you, but I'm still pretty excited. It's not a huge raise - about $14 a week after taxes - but still. Money is money at this point and I'm not turning it away.
And on a totally random note: Does anyone else think that the Magnificent Seven (which I would pay a small fortune to own on DVD, oh, all-seeing executives) and Firefly would make a hell of a crossover/fusion? I do. And everyone knows I'm a visionary. *coughs*
*grins*
Speaking of M7, finally got around to showing it to Leena. We watched the pilot episode during a rainy day and she seems to like it. Now I have two friends who think it's neat!
She didn't seem to think Ezra was a good identifying character for me, though. She looked at me funny when I told her she reminded me of JD. *grins*
I'm thinking of going to the movies today (my day off! Yay!). I've been wanting to see The Village ever since I found out my favorite children's writer was thinking about suing him over it. I've got some errands to run and some cleaning to do first, though. We'll see if I still have the willpower to go out in public afterwards.
All right, I think that's enough babbling. I'm off! Hope everyone's having a great time wherever they are!
PS: You know, one day Taranee's just going to bitch-slap Cornelia for the way she treats Will and frankly, I hope I'm there to see it when she does. *crosses arms and nods*
