Jan. 16th, 2004 12:01 pmNo work today! I had to go to a meeting at 7, but that was over with practically before it started. Came home, went back to bed, slept till ten. Then I ran some errands and now I plan to do nothing useful whatsoever for the rest of the day. Except maybe dishes.
I find
fandom_scruples to be incredibly amusing, in that trainwreck sort of way. I have joined
theblacklist and plan on turning in not only myself, but both of my roommates. And Kat. She deserves it. ;)
Colleen sent me this:
Bush in 30 Seconds.
I don't like talking politics, for the most part. I have my opinion, but lots of people disagree with me, and that's okay. But I swear to God, I think of the election and dread what may be coming. Right now, there's not a lot out there that makes me have happy thoughts.
I also agree with
meiran that I can't think of the last time there was a president who could be considered "great." Not in my lifetime, which is admittedly fairly short. But that's still a pretty awful thing to realize.
Plans to move to Canada are in the final stages. City has been chosen, transportation methods decided, and roommate arrangements complete. Now all we do is sit and wait to see how things go.
