I used the first day of my three-day weekend cleaning the apartment. I didn't get much done, but it was more productive than I usually am on my days off. ^_^ I had the TV on in the background and I watched the last couple disks of Hercules season three. I love War Brides. The plot is simple, but the guest star is this obnoxious, whiny, pampered princess who makes annoying demands and insults Iolaus all the time until he snaps and tells her she's a spoiled brat. Then he throws her in a river. I love Iolaus. In the princess' defense, I should mention that she gets better. Also, the Rock and a Hard Place episode is surprisingly good, every time I watch it. I love the scene where Iolaus asks Hercules "I have to know. Do you believe he's innocent?" and Hercules doesn't.

There's something wrong with me. I went to the grocery store today and in between actually shopping, I mostly made mental lists of how long canned fruit lasts and what kinds of meat you can buy canned and whether or not it would be worth buying yeast and flour and such if I were stocking up for the end of the world. That's right. I made an apocalypse shopping list.

Apparently it's possible to can just about anything. Whole tomatoes, pears, roast beef. Good news for the end of the world, I suppose. At least our diet will be varied.

I'd need a house/apartment with a woodstove/fireplace if I'm going to survive the apocalypse. Mental note: Work on that. Also, get a garden.

Ryan Gosling (Young Hercules) is on TV. Apparently he has a career and is relatively famous, which I never knew - no, I'm not an expert on pop culture, by any means.
