Oct. 14th, 2006 04:03 pmSo remember how I said we weren't sure what the turnout would be for the Unfortunate Event? Well, we were expecting anywhere from 10-30 kids.
So, naturally, 140 showed up.
That was kind of stressful. But LOTS of fun. We had a really good night, handed out a bunch of presents got to playact and generally act insane. I led the trivia contest, Wendy did face painting, Jessica did the (Un)Fortune Telling and we got the kids to help us launch the Grand Opening of the New and (Slightly) Improved Reptile Room, complete with black balloons and homemade reptiles. We had gummy snakes for snacks and handed out fake snakes and plastic reptiles, as well as stickers and temporary tattoos, and a count the snakes contest. The winner was give the Beatrice Letters. The loser was punished with a copy of The End.
I got out of there two hours later than I should have. But it was fun anyway. ^_^
