onemuseleftI am not going to Winchestercon. Life is, therefore, unfair. I am going to Technicon, Otakon and The Gathering next year, though, so I can't complain too much.

If anyone was wondering (and I know you weren't) Vampirates by Justin Somper isn't very good. It may be more enjoyable for young kids (it is a children's book). I picked it up because, dude. Vampirates. How corny can you get? Sadly, it took itself way too seriously.
Walgreens helped me relive my childhood briefly. Dragonflyz action figures! *dies of amusement* I have a video of that show lying around somewhere. I thought the younger brother was hot. *sheepish grin*
In slightly less silly news, I stopped by the optometrist to schedule an appointment and Dr Woodward was all "well, I've got twenty minutes, come on in" so I now have a prescription for new and shiny contacts! Yay! This is the third appointment because my eyes hate him. He's told me so. Apparently neither eye wears contacts properly (the left one is tilted at a 10 degree angle and the right one slightly more so) so the right prescription won't fit properly, which means he has to assign a prescription that is, technically, too powerful. Today he informed me that if my right eye acted like my left eye and vice versa, life would have been easier for him. *grins* In any event, I can see better now.
I want The Little Mermaid and Simon & Simon: Season One. Also, Silent Hill 1 but apparently it is slightly more valuable than gold, so that will have to wait.
And now I am going to take the trash out. Oh, my exciting life!
