onemuseleftThe interview I was supposed to have today was put off till tomorrow because they want me to sit around and fret about it for an extra day. *frets* I'm pretty nervous. I really want this position, but I keep reminding myself that it's not the end of the world if I don't get it. Hell, worse comes to worst I can just quit my job and go live on Kat's couch or something. Travel the world on my Mastercard, never stopping until I max it out.
Actually, that doesn't sound half bad.
King's Bishop is back from the beta-readers so I will distract myself from the inevitable humiliating failure of my interview tomorrow by rewriting Kurama's confrontation with the Weaver Queen. I've written that scene, like, six times and could never figure out why it wasn't working for me. Then one of my betas said "Why isn't Kurama using any of his 1337 demon-skillz, huh?" (I'm paraphrasing slightly) and I spent about ten minutes beating my head against the desk. He's an A-Class demon and a master thief and I had a couple of thugs sneaking up on him without being heard. Riiiiight. Kurama's not observant or anything.
I can't write his perspective to save my life.
Time for bed. I'm going to go crash with Nutmeg of Consolation. I'll see you all tomorrow - hopefully with a raise and a promotion. Cross your fingers for me if you're so inclined. ^_^
