aka: Why You Should Not Work For Koenma


Koenma: "Welcome to the Reikai Tantei. Genkai will be training you before your first mission."

Recruit: "What is our first mission?"

Koenma: "Urameshi Yuusuke, king of the Makai, has gone insane and needs to be taken down. Incidentally, he's the strongest damn demon ever. Other demons think he's an abomination."

Recruit: "... I'm, like, thirteen and I've never done anything more than wrestle on my high school team."

Koenma: "Meanwhile, I have lots of paperwork."

Genkai: "I am Genkai."

Recruit: "You'll teach me how to fight? You'll show me secret techniques to take down this demon king?"

Genkai: "Sure. Why not?"

Recruit: "My name is-"

Genkai: "Save it. I hate getting attached."

*massive training ensues*

*days pass*

Recruit: "Am I ready to face Urameshi now?"

Genkai: "If by ready you mean emotionally and mentally... sure. Why not."

Recruit: "How about physically?"

Genkai: "Did I ever tell you about the time that Urameshi destroyed an entire mountain by accident?"

Recruit: "holymothershit"

Genkai: "Anyway, it was nice knowing you."
