onemuseleftIt seems I'm going to Otakon.
We'll see how well this actually works out - I'm cursed when it comes to cons. This will be Year 4 of the Great MediaWest Quest, in which I try desperately to go to that con only to be thwarted at the last moment. Watch and see - I'm telling you, it'll happen.
Otakon might actually happen though, since Robyn's doing everything. She's already made the room reservations, and she's taking the money and info and registering us all at once at the group rate. She's even taking the names and cars of people willing to drive and organizing who's driving with who. All I have to do is show up and have money on me, which just might be easy enough for me to handle.
In other news, I had my performance review today. I now have documentation to prove my claims of excellence. Also, a 5% raise. Go me!
Jacob said he thought I had about a year to go before I made ASM. Dewey said less. Soo (the District Manager) wants me to partner with our ASM to start training ASAP. I did them one better and arranged to train with the cafe manager (aforementioned Robyn) because the company I work for doesn't promote anyone to ASM who can't run a cafe.
Good day for me! I rock. Sadly, there is no one to celebrate with, so I'll just end up watching anime and celebrating by myself. Perhaps I will treat myself to the next box set of H:tLJ.
Hopefully the good weather will keep up. I've got tomorrow off and I'm thinking of going to Sandy Bottom Nature Park for a hike. Now that I've said that, it's guarenteed to rain. Oh well.
