Doujinshi/anime merchandise:
Import Kuwabara doll! I love this thing, seriously. But it's also a little scary… ^_^
More Gundam Wing doujinshi than you can shake a stick at. I'm not even kidding. If you're interested, let me know and I can send you a detailed description of the covers, photos, some ideas of what the illustrations and stories are like, and any info about the artists that I can discover. I can't read a word of Japanese though, so I may not be able to identify the circle that created them.
Misc. Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors doujinshi. Some cute stuff here, but again, I don't have a lot of information about the artists or the details. If you're interested let me know and I'll send you some photos and information.
Utena postcard, autographed by the series creator. If you want it, you can have it, just front me the postage. Hell, if it's your birthday, it's free. I can't prove the autograph is official, and it's been in a box for about five years now. If no one wants it, I might just throw it in with something else.
Manga:
Basara vol. 1: English manga. In good shape, although it has a remained mark along the top. (a swipe of black marker used by the publisher/bookseller to show that this book was not for sale. This copy was an advance copy given to me before Basara went on sale)
Dragon Knights vol. 1 & 2: English manga. Only want one? Fine by me, they're not a set. Vol. 2 is like new. Vol. 1 has a crease in the top corner of the front cover. Otherwise, they're great.
Utena vol. 2: Japanese manga. Very good condition.
Bakuretsu Hunters vol. 10: Japanese manga. Great condition.
Sorcerer Hunters vol. 13: English Manga. Good condition. (I have no idea where the heck I got this. Molly, is it yours?)
Full Metal Panic vol. 1: English. Great shape. Remainder mark at top.
Neon Genesis Evangelion vol. 1 & 2: English. Great shape. (two copies of Vol. 1)
Pokemon: The Electric Tale of Pikachu
Pokemon: Pikachu Shocks Back
Pokemon: Electric Pikachu Boogaloo
English. In very good to like new condition.
Posters:
W.I.T.C.H. two-sided promotional poster. This is a cardboard poster, send out to promote the book series back when it was still new. Has the five girls in their normal and magic forms, as well as the series logo. There is a circular hole at the top center; the poster was intended to be hung in a window. Obviously, it never was. ^_^
Digimon mini-poster: mini-posters, if you aren't into anime, are usually about 11'' x 17'' – give or take. This one has TK and his brother posing with their digimon and it says "Digimon Adventure" across the bottom. Nearly brand new, never been displayed.
Yu Yu Hakusho mini-poster: Yuusuke, in his pajamas (don't ask me why) framed by Kurama and Kuwabara on one side, and Hiei and Koenma on the other. Very good shape. I don't think I ever displayed this one, either.
DBZ poster: regular size. Features giant Grim Goku of Doom in the background grasping his wristband, while the rest of the cast is assembled in front of him, gazing at you with some serious attitude. It's got Trunks! In good shape, another one I don't think I ever displayed.
Why did I even buy these things if I was never going to display them?
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace poster: the one with Anakin looking all forlorn and the Darth Vader shadow of DOOM behind him. Nicole made me buy this one back when I still harbored some lingering hopes for the Star Wars franchise, then mocked me mercilessly because I never displayed it.
Hercules: The Legendary Journeys poster: The title logo and a picture of Hercules and… Iolaus.. all… back-to-back and warrior-like… Forget it. I'm keeping this one.
The Princess Bride: A whopping great poster which took up half my miniscule dorm room sophomore year. I exaggerate only slightly. This is a nice poster, but it was used when I got it. The front is undamaged, although the bottom edge is somewhat worn. The back shows signs of wear from being taped to someone's wall at some point. No punctures or pinholes.
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back: Han and Luke and a Bantha (Taun-taun? The thing Han sliced open to keep warm at the beginning of the film, whatever it is. Yes, I know I'm not a True Fan). I love this poster, but I will never frame it and display it. New, in great shape.
Misc Others: The Prince of Egypt, Star Wars: A New Hope, Pokemon. Yes, I said Pokemon. Shut up.
Books:
The Redemption of Althalus by David and Leigh Eddings.
I never read this. I can tell you nothing about it. Sorry. I once read some great slash based on the Belgariad. Does that count? No? Sorry.
Condition: Hardcover, like new.
Legends, edited by Robert Silverburg
An anthology of short stories and excerpts from Robert Jordan, Stephen King, Terry Goodkind, Anne McCaffrey and others.
Condition: Hardcover, very good.
The King's Fifth by Scott O'Dell
This is the book that the cartoon show Mysterious Cities of Gold was based on. Harcover, very good condition. There is some shelf wear to the spine of the dust jacket, but the book is more than ten years old from what I can tell.
Summary: "There were seven of them when they left the summer camp of Coronado's army and struck out into that unknown land, which is not our great Southwest, to find the golden cities of Cibola."
It's a great adventure story, and if you like historical fiction, you might like this one.
The Last Time They Met by Anita Shreve
Is there anyone left who hasn't read this one yet?
Condition: Hardcover, like new.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds II
An anthology edited by Dean Wesley Smith, containing several short stories from the first four Star Trek series.
Condition: Used, but in good shape. There is a stamp and markings inside the front cover showing that the book was purchased at a used bookstore.
Journals:
Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Journal
You've never seen Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book? Get thee to a Barnes & Noble! In the meantime, this journal is also a dayplanner, with a calendar (just dates, no days, so you could use it in any year). The illustrations are beautiful and creepy, and occasionally the fairies leave notes telling you of special fairy holidays, such as April 28th, Chocken-Tickling Day (Leprechauns only).
Condition: Like New. Never been used.
Note: I actually have two of these.
Desire
This is a gorgeous journal, with a soft cover and a simple black lock. The cover is decorated with gold script and an illustration of Cupid's bow. Inside, the pages are lined, and every so often are quotes about love, lust and desire.
Condition: It'd be brand new, except the packaging was removed at some point.
I'll update this as I work up the energy to sort through more of my stuff from storage. Seriously, if there's anything you want, let me know. I'm not looking to make a fortune here. I'm just too poor to throw all this tuff away without at least trying to get a buck or two back. :)
