onemuseleftAll in one day I get my Hercules Season 2 DVDs and my first-ever fanlisting. Ohhhh... Okay, so I'm sharing the fanlisting with Mary and Cyn, and they'll probably do most of the work because they're much better with layouts and design, but it was my idea, so that should count for something. :)
Work today? Incredibly good. Open positions at other stores were posted today, and TWO DIFFERENT MANAGERS pointed out that there were Dept. Manager positions open (I'm an assistant dept. manager right now) and that all I had to do was mention to Angel that I was interested and she would set up all the interviews for me.
*beams* So awesome. Sandy sounded really surprised when I told her I wasn't ready yet. Mostly I'm not willing to move ever further south. I'm hoping for a position up North, or even out West (yes Kat, even California). But on top of the praise I got from our District Manager last week, this really made me feel confident. I'm also the only assistant manager who got singled out in a good way, which makes me feel even better.
I did get yelled at by a customer because I told her she couldn't take her 11 year old son into the ladies room until I went in and made sure it was empty. I totally understand that she's worried about predators and abductors, but a lot of women aren't comfortable with having a pre-adolescent boy in the bathroom with them, stall doors or no. So I got a manager to back me up, and in the time it took for her to complain about it, she could have been and gone. Oh well. Some people just aren't willing to consider how other people feel.
But other than that today was a great day. Now I'm going to go make dinner, and watch my Hercules Bloopers.
And Oh. My. God. Michael Hurst is gorgeous.
