onemuseleftSunshine! Yay! It's cooler out today than the past few days, but no less beautiful. Hopefully it'll hold till tomorrow, which is my day off, so I can go out an enjoy it some. It's nice to be able to run around in shorts and skirts again.
The weekend's been a good one so far. Sonnet made me watch Dune last night - the first one - and I really enjoyed it. The little girl is creepy. I like her. I'm going to read the book this week and t hen check out the sequels. Before that we'd made dinner (grilled chicken salad, yum!) and cookies (choco chunk).
I'm reading Artemis Fowl for the first time. It's supposed to be better than Harry Potter but it really, really isn't. I'm having trouble finishing it because I really just don't care about any of the characters or the plot. My attitude toward the whole thing seems to be "Go for it Artemis! Those pissy little fairies will get what they have coming. Obnoxious SOBs." I'm fairly certain that's not what Colfer was going for. I think I shall force myself to finish and move on to The Black Cauldron which I also have never read before.
Meanwhile, time to go torture Sonnet. Hope everyone's having a great weekend!
