onemuseleftStill in DC. Meant to head back tonight, but the weather is crap and also we're watching NCIS, so I decided to stay an extra night. It's freaking cold outside and the winds are 40-50 miles an hour. I figure short of snowing, it can't get much worse overnight. I'm meeting Bob for a late breakfast/early lunch and now I'm thinking of stalling so I can make him take me to the Melting Pot for an early dinner. ^_^ But it's a three hour drive and I really don't want to be getting home after dark.
New Year's was nice - low-key, and with dramatically fewer drunk people than in years past. A few of us stayed up till 5:30 in the morning talking about college and old friends and things like that. The next day Laura and I met my brother for dinner (overpriced, but yummy) an today we've mostly sat around watching Season 4 of Criminal Minds and listening to the wind try to blow her apartment building over. Laura made a tuna noodle casserole and I made peanut butter fudge brownies.
All in all, unproductive, but nice. I dread work on Monday.
