onemuseleftOkay, I know there are Ghostbusters fans on my friendslist - does anyone know whether it is specifically stated at any point in the series or the movies that Winston was in Vietnam? Or is this just particularly strong fanon?
I want this show on DVD. I've only seen a fraction of the series and if anyone ever released a box set I would totally shell out for it.
In other news, I love fanzines. Don't even ask me why, because I have no idea. You'd think with all the free fanfic out there I would scoff at fanzines, but I don't. I think it's because there's an assumption that if it made it into a zine it isn't totally horrible - but four of my stories have been printed in fanzines so obviously there's no real standards there. Anyway, the short version of this story is that I spent a bunch of money on RGB zines over at Agent With Style today.
I also found Rob Thurman's Bygones which is possibly my favorite Ghostbusters fanfic ever. Winston rocks. I strongly recommend the fic to anyone who wants to read some good, well-written and strongly characterized RGB fic. There's also a companion piece called Probation.
