Jul. 18th, 2007 10:35 pmHave just finished rereading books 1-6 of Harry Potter. Still not seeing the incontrovertible evidence of Snape-ish guilt. Still despise Draco as a whiny bitch. Still love Ron. Still don't get the mad-love for Sirius. By the end of Book Five I always end up wanting to throttle him and he doesn't really do anything to make up for his indiscretions.
Secret Confession:
AS far as the adult pairings go, I prefer Snape/Lupin. I've even *whispers* written fanfic for it.
Also, Hermione is so going to grow up to be Minister of Magic. Or rule the world. Or both.
Harry Potter and the Ambitious Minister of Muggle Relations. ... Doesn't have the same ring to it, huh?
We got our final shipment of the Book Which Shall Not be Named (not sure why I'm calling it that, but I am) today, bringing us to 3000 copies. I even got to look at one before we complied with pre-release security measures (basically, the books cannot be removed from their boxes and the boxes themselves must be sealed or concealed in some way).
Ready for Midnight Magic to be over now, thank you. All you bums who are going to Midnight Magic and taking the say off to read on Saturday: Think of the poor bastard booksellers who get you that book. You think WE get Harry Potter weekend off? Not very likely, is it?! (is madly jealous) I have Sunday and Monday off though, and will be reading after my brother goes home.
And now, this lesson from Invader Zim:
"The Planet Jackers' homeworld orbits a dying sun. THey throw planets into it like firewood to keep it burning. And now... they have the Earth."
"Yay!"
"No, Gir. That's bad."
