Jun. 26th, 2009 03:29 pmSo, I recently picked up the Anita Blake series.
I KNOW.
I'll spare you all the ranting, as I'm pretty sure several of you have experience with this series. I will just say this:
1) Anita is not a good person. Really. Like... She's an unkind, cruel person.
2) I like how the mechanics of the universe change from book to book just to suit the current storyline. It makes me dizzy and sort of sick to my stomach. Cheaper than alcohol.
3) Asher is totally plotting against Anita, OMG. I have decided this, and now it is the truth. I will not be convinced otherwise. He's going to team up with Narcicuss and free Jean-Claude (and those other guys, probably, if he gets around to it) from her nefarious grasp.
4) Anita Blake is NOT a good person. And It's a little sickening to read the things she does to other people and think that hundreds or thousands of people consider this character a hero. Just. No.
