Fic rec of the day:

Hercules and Iolaus fight a monster, but there's something just a little bit off. Therienne manages to make sure that you don't know what's happening until Hercules does, and the realzation that everyone else already knew is at least as big a shock as the actual 'secret'.

This story is one of those rare fics that not only knocks your breath out of you, but keeps doing it no matter how many times you reread the story.
