Sonnet has been playing Silent Hill 4 which makes me writhe with jealousy. I'm not a huge video game fan, but I do love Silent Hill just for its sheer creepiness. Although SH2 was on crack.

Anyway, because of Sonnet calling me at 11 PM when I was about to go to bed and starting a rant about the game, I ended up having Silent Hill dreams all night. Now, if you have no idea what this game is, let's just say it involves zombies, demons, ghosts, tortured children and is set in an abandoned town full of blood spatters, cryptic messages and gateways to Hell. It's deliciously scary, especially if you play it at night with the lights off. The dreams were not nightmares, but they came close, and I woke up with the lingering conviction that some sort of Hell beast was gestating in my closet.

Now I want to play the first game again. Also, I want to write fanfic for it because the concept is just so creepy.

In other news, I managed to injure myself this morning. I'm not sure how, exactly, because I was mostly asleep at the time. I woke up to go to the bathroom and my right leg just gave out. I tried to catch myself against the windowsill, wrenching my right arms nearly out of the socket, and pulling the muscles in my shoulder and arm. I'm not sure how much time passed before I could stand up, because the fall only made my thoughts fuzzier, but I vaguely recall making it down the hall to the bathroom and back to bed. When I woke up this morning my entire shoulder was on fire and slightly swollen, so I ended up calling out from work.

Leg seems fine. I figure it must have been asleep, or maybe I had a charley horse or something, and that's why I fell.

I think I'm the only person who manages to hurt themselves getting out of bed. One day I will probably win a Darwin Award.
