Dec. 28th, 2004 12:57 pmLast night was pretty sucky. Two employees no-showed, and I now hate them both with the burning firey passions of hell itself because we were understaffed to begin with, and then we got slammed. If a certain newsstand lead has the nerve to show up for work tonight she's going to be very unhappy with me. In addition to not showing up for two days - because of the SNOW OHMYGOD! - she hasn't put out new releases or hotlist titles on the newsstand for the last six days and my receiving manager is getting really tired of doing it for her. So me and Newsstand Lead get to have a nice little chat today. Then I'm going to kill her.
*deep breath*
Hollins-folk, does anyone who actually gets to talk to Xana have any idea how long she's going to be in the States? I've still got her box and if 3-day select won't make it I'll need to ship it to her address in Japan.
I got a gift card to B&N for Christmas and I treated myself to MASH Season 7 and the Kim Possible Villain Files. Also, a hot chocolate. mmm... cocoa. I'm watching MASH now, and chilling before work tonight. I'm giving serious thought to quitting and living a life of vagrancy if it means I never, ever have to deal with another customer again.
