Nov. 25th, 2004 05:27 pmIt is Thanksgiving! I have had turkey and potatoes and pumpkin cheesecake and now I am sleepy and ready to spend the rest of the day in idleness.
Thanksgiving break has been very nice and relaxing. Went to Richmond and saw
kahn,
deathgod02 and
serafaina. annoyed and confounded same. Much fun was had by all.
Tuesday night we went to see The Grudge, starring she-who-is-not-Buffy. It was definitely a creepy movie, even more so than The Ring, in my opinion. There were a couple parts where I actually jumped in my seat, which I don't do very often. The movie only had one bad spot and that was the HORDE OF IDIOTS (TM) sitting immediately behind us, most of whom spent the whole movie shrieking in horror, kicking my seat and saying" Oh, this is scary! This was a bad idea! Who's idea was this?" over and over and over and over and over and...
But the movie itself was great. Sonnet and I planned ficcage. YYH crossover/fusions. *coughs* heh.
Wednesday I hung out with Deanna, watched many movies, and went shopping. Deanna made some truly excellent burritos for dinner, then we stayed up way too late watching Ringu with Sonnet. Went to bed around 5 or 6 in the morning because we're all masochists. Then had to get up at 10 to make it to Kimberly's in time for Thanksgiving lunch/dinner.
Kimberly has the most adorable little girl. Her name is Lindsey, she's 2.5 years old, and I want one just like her. Well, maybe I want to babysit for one just like her. But anyway, she was the cutest thing. After dinner we watched Cirque de Soliel with Ken and Mrs. Thompson and the kids. Then Kimberly and I took a walk with her oldest daughter, Kristin, and finally I left for home.
Now I'm working on fic research, watching the new YYH DVD and thinking longingly of sleep. I'll need to stock up on rest because I'm closing tomorrow night - Black Friday. *shudders*
Wish me luck.
Hope everyone had as great a week as I did!
