They don't mind me getting calls there, so give me a shout whenever you get the chance and let me know what's going on. If it's a busy time and they try to put you on hold, or tell you I'm with a table, just tell them your name and I'll call you back on my break, okay? *hugs* And yeah, it's more trouble than it's worth, but... I'm still going so you have to as well. So there.
Second off: Megan! Give me a call at work tonight? I need to ask you a question, but nothing important and it's not worth interrupting you at work for.
Third off: Leslie, you rock. I know you're having a rough time right now, but you're being stronger and more mature about this than women twice your age. He doesn't know what a good thing he just gave up. I'm just glad you realized you deserved better than him.
Okay, on to the miscellaneous details.
Leslie says Capital One is actively hiring customer service reps, and if there's one thing I have experience in (being a snarky bitch goes without saying), it's customer service. I think, perhaps, I'll ask Leslie to give me a run down on how she got HER job. Coach me through it. I really want a job where I can depend on my paycheck each week, and not have to *hope* that the customers are in a generous mood so I can pay my rent this month. And there's always the post office. Apparently they make nice money and I'd get to walk a lot.
I need to ask Jeff and Carol if they're willing to be references. And I have to tell Jodi at B&N that she'll be getting calls from people checking my references. I don't want to quit B&N - I like it there, and I really like the people. I don't want Jodi thinking that because I'm applying for other jobs, it means I'll be leaving B&N.
Ohh... employee week started yesterday! Woo! Sports Night is MINE!
I've been writing again. I wrote another piece of the Harry Potter AU story (FINALLY figured out how Hermione fits into the whole thing) and I've scripted the scenes with HAgrid and Severus (NOT like THAT, people. Ew) No, Megan I have not forgotten your Severus/Remus snippet. ^_^
I've also done some work on Blood of Ancients again - to the undying shock of the general public - and I'm rewriting some of the smaller pieces. They desperately need it. Can you believe it's been at least six, possibly seven years since I wrote those stories? My Lord. And it shows. I may not be Mercedes Lackey, but compared to where I was seven years ago... Eeep.
And I finally got my evil LotR DVD to work properly. Saw the new and extended scenes - the extended Council of Elrond was really nicely done, I thought. The look on Elrond's face when Gandalf reads the ring inscription was priceless. Well thanks, Gandalf. Just call the evil right down on our heads why don't you?
Saw the cast interviews - so cute! mm... Pippin is my sex kitten o' lurrrvv.
And speaking of sex kittens... ;) My quiz "Which of Kelly's Perfect Men Are You?" is nearing completion. I figure it'll give the Hollins girls a good laugh. Although if you get Peter, I can't promise to control myself.
Okay, time to get ready for work. Especially since I don't know where my uniform is.
