Nov. 18th, 2002 01:12 pmI have the strongest urge to play Civ 3. Which I can't, because I don't know anyone who has it, except Molly's parents in West Virginia. "Excuse me, Molly's Mom? I have a favor to ask..." I really need to bite the bullet and buy it myself. That and Sports Night DVD! Whee! *can't wait for employee week so she can buy it*
Got the LotR gift set for $40, so I plan to spend my days off pretending I'm a Hobbit. Heeeeeere Pippin, Pippin, Pipppin... I figure it's as good a way as any and better than some to spend a rainy afternoon.
Rented the Powerpuff Girls Movie. I spent half of it laughing my ass off and the other half psychologically disturbed. I think I liked it. ;) But I'm not surprised at all it did so badly in the theaters.
Only one month left till the next Authority special! And the Two Towers! December 18 will be quite a day. *grins*
Megan and I are going to see Harry Potter again tonight - largely because we can. She's gonna drool over Malfoy Sr. while I plot fanfic and coo over Ron. We've got a nice little middle ground going, and until and unless we decide to decorate the apartment in house colors, it'll work fine. Although that would be hilarious. Maybe for New Years.
Hey, Meg - can I wear Gryffindor colors to your Slytherin wedding?
I went to Roanoke over the weekend, got to see everyone. It was nice. We went to the opening night of Harry Potter and had a good time. Didn't get back until much later than planned - looooong movie. Was TIRED. Met the new anime club. *scowls* Was not impressed. A few of them were very nice, but I am forced to violently oppose Lynn and all who stand with her after what she said to Annmarie. I very nearly tried to take her down, but Annmarie didn't seem to want a fuss so we just went off campus for a while instead.
In other news, housesitting is going well. The dog likes me, but the cat seems to be plotting my death in quiet moments. When he's not trying to slip out the door and run away, that is. He's already made a break for it twice and the only thing that stopped him is that he seems scared to step off the sidewalk, so it's not that hard for me to find him.
