Professor Benedict has cancer. I just found out today when I went to have a meeting with him. He's starting chemo next week.

I really like Benedict; for all that he's kind of a jerk he's always been one of the most honest and helpful creative writing teachers I've ever had. I really hope he's going to be all right.

Which makes me feel awful... I was a horrible judge. *makes face* After the fiasco at the Christmas Eve dinner came about I never checked my email again, so I never sent in my scores.

So I'm very happy and totally bummed at once. *rolls eyes* Welcome to the life of an emotional rollercoster.
