onemuseleftYuusuke had this… thing. A quirk, or maybe just some kind of simple mental instability. It wasn't an issue when they were with friends, but when strangers – even human ones – entered the picture, Urameshi hauled out the caveman act.
It was especially bad around Kuwabara's friends from the force. A bunch of young guys with pressed uniforms and shiny guns, walking around like they were the lords of creation, up against Urameshi in his ratty jeans and sneakers, who hated guns and really was lord of his own little corner of creation. If it hadn't been ridiculous, it would have been funny. Urameshi did everything short of get up in their faces and say, "I have a bigger dick than you. Wanna arm wrestle?" Some of the guys were stupid enough to challenge Urameshi's Vibe O' Manliness and got their heads handed to them (usually in pool, because Kuwabara drew the line at letting his demon best friend beat up on his cop co-workers).
Basically, Urameshi just liked to make sure he was still Alpha Male. It was probably some kind of demon instinct, or at least it was subconscious, because Urameshi never seemed to realize that's what he was doing. Kuwabara hadn't really been annoyed until he'd realized Urameshi was "instinctively" going all King of the Hill over him, at which point it got aggravating real fast.
"If you start pissing on my leg, I will kill you," Kuwabara said conversationally. "But not before I tell Keiko about your bachelor party."
