onemuseleftDarkwing Duck on DVD!
I've been reliving my pre-teen years, thanks to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
silverbow and minerva710 who gifted me with the Box O' Nostalgic Goodness DuckTales DVD volume one box set. I'd nearly forgotten that as a child I had a bizarre attachment to Louie. I blame my parents for that. There were three of us, and they color-coded our belongings just like Huey, Dewey and Louie. I was green, hence the connection.
Disappointingly, the volume one box set does not have the pilot episodes, in which the boys first come to live with Scrooge, Launchpad and the others are introduced, and the Giant Wooly Walrus attacks. In typical Kelly fashion, I am now absolutely desperate to see these episodes.
Oh! And the one where Magica DeSpell made their worst fears come true, and the boys' worst fear was that Scrooge didn't want them and would send them away, and Scrooge's biggest fear was that the boys didn't love him and only liked his house and money. Gah. Apparently I had a kink for emotional abuse and angst even as a child.
That probably explains all the fanfic I wrote back in the pre-internet days. Poor Gosalyn. Poor Kit. Poor Nephews. ^_^
ETA: Apparently I still know the theme song by heart, too. Also, Gummi Bears. But really, is there anyone who can't spontaneously burst out into the Gumm Bears theme song?
