Summary: The part that shamed him, the part that made his stomach turn, was that none of this was really about Midnighter.
Notes: Set immediately after and containing spoilers for Human on the Inside. I liked parts of that comic - and parts of it really rubbed me the wrong way. I felt like I got what they were trying to do, but mostly Apollo just came off like someone's abusive boyfriend. I wanted to see more of a reconciliation than that quick glance we got at the end, so I figured an epilogue with make-up sex was in order.
